PAINTING FOR THE JOY OF DISCOVERY

This painting was created based on my own photographic notes taken on a summer evening at the Baltic Sea beach near Habernis. To capture this lively evening atmosphere after swimming, I used dynamic and expressive brushstrokes on the wooden panel. My application of paint is bold and impasto. This creates three-dimensional textures that lend the painting depth and vitality. The girl gazes into the distance and playfully finds her footing, finding her balance.
